In Act 4, you unlock Mounts that will allow you to traverse around the map on horseback. You Have to Complete First 3 Acts to Unlock Act 4 and Mounts You can simply head to the Dry Steppes, do the Barbarian Specialization Quest, then head back to Fractured Peaks for Act 1 quests or Scosglen for Act 2 quests. ![]() Definitely not the most efficient use of your time, especially since you'll have to complete Acts 1 and 2 anyway to unlock Act 4.įor Barbarians, although the Masters of Battle Specialization Quest is also located in the Dry Steppes region, the Specialization Quest alone is not worth committing to Act 3 quests immediately. The enemies are too difficult and you'll have to repeatedly pause progress through the campaign to grind your level. While Acts 1 and 2 can be interchanged, going from the Prologue to Act 3 is not recommended. The enemy encounters and boss fights are tough enough to prove a challenge, but not impossible given good equipment and strategic skill assignments.Īdditionally, Act 1 has an annoyingly difficult boss in Vhenard (especially if you're playing Barbarian), who will definitely be more swiftly defeated once you've leveled up some more and gotten access to stronger skills. You don't get better rewards for doing quests of higher difficulty.Īt the base recommended level of 10, Act 2 is completely manageable if you go straight at it after completing the Prologue. The only reason to switch up the recommended level order is if you want a more challenging gameplay experience. Quest rewards don't scale by the difficulty of the quest and, instead, scale by your current level, so there's no point in doing quests way above your level, since you won't be getting better rewards from them anyway. You can simply go by the ascending order of their acts and recommended levels for the most standard and smoothest run of the campaign.
